In District 23, school counselors and social workers recently spent a day doing something simple but powerful: collaboratively refining their School Counseling Curriculum to better meet the needs of their students.
Satchel Pulse had the opportunity to connect with them virtually and hear how educators were using the session to strengthen existing systems of support. Together, they reviewed their plans, aligned on shared goals, and made small but meaningful adjustments to ensure their curriculum reflects students’ current needs.
Intentional Progress
This kind of proactive work shows how student support doesn’t rely on sweeping initiatives but on educators who take time to reflect, refine, and improve the structures that guide their daily practice.
At Satchel Pulse, we’re reminded that meaningful progress often looks like this: educators leading from within, working together to make every system stronger for the students who need them most.
